Activate Diagnostic Post-test

The Education Galaxy Diagnostic Post-Test is automatically locked. We suggest giving the post-test about 6-8 before the state test or 6-8 weeks before the end of the school year for non-tested grade levels. When ready, teachers will need to unlock the post-test so students can access it.
Follow the steps below to get started!
To lock the EG diagnostic pre-test or unlock the EG diagnostic post-test for students, go to the "Student Center," then click "Manage Users" and choose "Manage Students."
Filter by grade level and class or type a specific student's information and click "Search."
Filter or search for students with the menu options on the upper left-hand side of the page. You can change settings for individual students, a group of students, or the entire list of students. Each option is outlined below with a 1, 2, or 3.
- To change settings for an individual student, click "edit" next to that student's name.
- To change settings for a group of students, select the students by checking the box next to each student's name and use the "Group Action" section to select the settings.
- To change settings for the entire list of students on the bottom half of the screen, check the box in the header next to "FIRST NAME." It will automatically place a check next to each student's name in the list. Then use the "Group Action" section to select the settings.
"Group Action" will allow teachers to customize settings for a group of students at one time. Once you have selected the students you would like to change the setting for, click on the ✔️ to activate the diagnostic pre-test and/or post-test under the "Group Action" section next to the "Pre-Test" and/or "Post-Test" setting. Please note that you can only update one setting at a time.
The pre-test is unlocked for students with a blue checkmark next to their name under the PRE-TEST column. The post-test is unlocked for students with a blue checkmark next to their name under the POST-TEST column.
